Version 1 is the Radar you can install. iPhone on the App Store. Android on Google Play. If you already have the app, this is the update. The nights you logged are still there. 1.0 does not ask you to start a second diary.
The change you feel first is colour. Open a gig and Radar reads the photograph. A warm portrait comes back cream: the type, the buttons, the page. A black-and-white live shot stays black. The next show is a different night, so it gets a different theme. You do not pick it in settings.
Around that, the app is rearranged around the shows you actually have. Home leads with what is coming and the last gig. Diary is the history, by year, as tickets. Find starts from artists you have already logged. Friends are people who were at the same nights. Wrapped and the venue map are the year, told back.
The icon is new too: white radar rings on black. The inside of a gig is still in colour, because the colour belongs to the show.
The night paints the page
This is a logged show, not a poster we designed around the app. The face, the date, the room, the rating, and Add memory all sit on a page sampled from that image.
A different gig samples a different image. Rush in black and white does not inherit this cream. The theme is the show you opened.
Home is the next night, then the last one
Home opens on your name and the shows that are actually yours. Upcoming sits in a row. The last gig is underneath. For you stays below that, built from the diary rather than a generic chart.
The Add button is on this screen and in the tab bar. One tap, then three ways in: find a gig, log it yourself, or import ticket emails.
The diary, kept by year
Diary is the whole history, grouped by year. Filters cover all, past, upcoming, and festivals. Each night is a ticket: the date on the stub, the photograph, the room.
Logging a show you cannot find in search is artist, venue, and date. That is the whole manual form. Notes, a rating, and support acts can follow. The record does not wait on a perfect review.
Find, pointed at what you have seen
Find is one search for an artist, a festival, a venue, or a city. Listings come from Ticketmaster, Skiddle, and Setlist.fm. Add the show from the result instead of retyping the room.
Under the search, For you leads with artists already in the diary. Near you leads with home. Bulk import sits on the same idea: an inbox of old confirmations, reviewed before anything is saved.
A profile with a cover
Profile leads with the cover you chose, the level, and the counts: gigs, artists, venues, cities. Achievements sit under that. The next show sits under those.
It is the public face of the diary. Someone else can see the shape of the year without a screenshot of a notes app. Friends still only see what you have chosen to show.
Friends from the same rooms
Friends opens on people who share shows with you, with the gig named on the row. Direct messages are free. Crew chats and event chats are part of Radar Pro.
The point of the list is the night in common. Add someone because you were at the same show, not because a chart guessed a genre.
Wrapped is the rooms
Wrapped is calculated from gigs you logged. Not from streams. Slides cover the count, the artists, the scenes, the venues, and where the year went.
Free accounts can see the opening slides. Radar Pro opens the full set. If a slide looks thin, the diary is thin. The festivals and the support slots you stayed for are what fill it.
The map of the nights
The map plots venues on gigs you logged. It is not a live trace of where your phone has been, and it is not every concert in the city. A missing room means that show was never saved.
The map is Radar Pro. The free diary still stores the venue name, so the geography is there when you upgrade.
What you do now
Update the app you already have.
App Store on iPhone. Google Play on Android. Same account. The gigs, the friends, and the photos come with you. New looks, same archive.
Why this is the one we are calling 1
Radar could already remember a gig: artist, venue, date, who you went with, a rating, a note. It could find listings. The screen around that diary was one look for every show.
1.0 lets the night take the screen. Home leads with upcoming and the last gig. Diary is the history as tickets. Find and friends are arranged around shows you logged. Open a gig and the page is sampled from its photograph. Add a show from one button: find it, type artist venue and date, or import the ticket email.
Free is ten gigs, five friends, and direct messages. Pro is unlimited logging, the map, full Wrapped, festival planning, more photos, and group chats. A lifetime purchase is there if you do not want a renewal.
The earlier note on this blog said 1.0 was not in the stores yet. That wait is over. Install it, or update it, and log the next one in the new pages.
